Project Requirements
Marketing Requirements
-
Device will provide data collection methods for Figaro 2600-series gas sensors.
-
Metal-Oxide Semiconductor based gas sensors are placed in sockets on the board for easy replacement.
-
Data is collected and stored in a user accessible database.
-
The device will utilize an LTE cellular connection from Particle.io to send data to the database.
-
Many devices can be deployed and upload data simultaneously.
-
The system will not need to be charged daily.
-
The device will not require a skilled technician to operate.
-
The device will be portable and handheld.
Engineering Requirements
-
Digital potentiometers are used to keep an analog voltage read by an 8-bit ADC near a value of 256/1023 for any Figaro 2600 sensor present.(MR1, MR2)
-
A PostgreSQL database will provide access to breath reading data for at least one month. (MR3)
-
There are 30 heat-up time selections for Figaro 2600-series sensors on the device from 30 seconds to 15 minutes in increments of 30 seconds. (MR1,MR5)
-
Data values will be packaged into MQTT messages and be accessible to a Raspberry Pi. (MR3,MR5)
-
The system will operate for 48 hours and be able to perform five tests a day. (MR6)
-
Our database will receive at least 95% of messages sent through cellular-data within one second of data being sent. (MR4)
-
Up to five devices can send messages to the server at once. (MR5)
-
The device will be no larger than 2”6”3” in size. (MR8)
